KW-70 / Wayfarer
Doctrine: Heavy Craft
Role: Long-Range Step-Up Gun
Status: Approved for Serious Water
Description
Wayfarer is a forward-range pursuit craft developed for travel into larger, faster-moving surf where confidence, hold, and controlled speed become mission-critical.
Extended rail line, refined volume distribution, and a continuous rocker tuned for entry at pace allow the board to engage cleanly on steep faces while maintaining composure as velocity increases.
Moderate down rails provide secure edge control and dependable hold under pressure, translating committed positioning into smooth, uninterrupted projection rather than chatter or drift.
Acceleration builds with purpose, then stabilizes into a calm, directed line suited to open-face travel and late-forming sections.
Unlike smaller interceptors that rely on quick correction, Wayfarer favors decisive trajectory and sustained trim, encouraging the operator to look farther ahead and move with intention rather than reaction.
When placed correctly, the craft carries speed with reassuring stability, allowing deeper entry and longer exit paths through consequential water.
Field reports indicate increased confidence in overhead conditions and a noticeable reduction in unnecessary movement once the line is set.
Extended deployment may expand perceived range of acceptable surf.
