KW-63 / Peregrine Quad
Doctrine: Interceptor
Role: Beachbreak Pursuit Craft
Status: Active Service
Description
Peregrine Quad is a fast-response interceptor tuned for steep beachbreaks, short runways, and sections that demand immediate commitment.
Low drag through the entry, clean single-to-double concave lift, and continuous rail line combine to generate rapid acceleration from the moment of engagement, allowing the craft to match the speed of collapsing water before the line fully reveals itself.
The quad configuration emphasizes down-the-line projection and controlled hold at speed, maintaining stability through turbulent faces while preserving the freedom to redirect when exits appear without warning.
A domed deck and balanced foil keep the board sensitive underfoot without sacrificing paddle efficiency or early entry.
Peregrine favors decisive operators and rewards forward intent.
Hesitation reduces effectiveness.
Commitment is typically met with immediate velocity.
Extended deployment in quality beachbreaks may alter expectations of how quickly a board should move.
Configuration:
Shortboard outline
Quad fin
Down rails with defined edge
